Northern Haus and The Anderson's helped bring our Door County wedding come to life! Having to book the venue sight unsee we weren't sure how everything would work out but, Sara had many helpful tools and virtual tours ready for us to watch to help us during the planning process. The venue itself is gorgeous and makes for a wonderful backdrop for any theme. It's clean, well maintained, sound travels well, and is a great space to fit a large group. The price of the venue and the extra add ons do add up but, can be worth it just be sure to think through those as you are booking and planning out your day. Nick was great behind the bar and was excellent with our guests in making everyone feel at home in Door County. Sara makes the planning process easy if you aren't from the area with her vendor suggestions and reviews. Our "Wildly in Love" themed wedding was the most magical day we could've asked for at Northern Haus and Sara and Nick helped make that possible!! Beautiful venue, beautiful people, and beautiful town!

The setting of our DREAM wedding! All of our guests raved about how gorgeous this venue was. We used the outdoor ceremony space (Forest Retreat) and our ceremony truly looked like something out of a fairytale. This venue was perfectly designed to be the most beautiful canvas for your vision to come together on. Sara and Nick were so kind and friendly and worked closely with us to create our perfect day. We had Sara as our Day of Coordinator and the day went so, so smoothly. I know we owe it all to her outstanding talent and organization. While my bridesmaids and I were preparing for the ceremony in the gorgeous Luxury Suite, I had time to truly relax with my loved ones while Sara coordinated set-up and deliveries with my other vendors. She handled details I wouldn't even have known to cover and made the day such a breeze. The venue's sprawling property also made our portraits super simple. Everywhere you turn on the property is a new and gorgeous photo setting, so far we have only received a sneak peak from our photographer but every photo so far is stunning! Not to mention, the venue's setting in Sister Bay made for such a fun weekend for all of our guests. Everyone loved exploring the charm of Door County's boutique shops, unique restaurants, and wineries on the coast of Lake Michigan. So many of our guests told us they had never visited Door County before but would certainly be back. Thank you Sara and Nick for helping us create the wedding of our dreams!!

I really don't even know where to start on all the incredible things I can say about Northern Haus and owners Sara and Nick. Initially seeing the venue online, obviously its insanely gorgeous; a beautiful outdoor ceremony space, the cutest covered patio and fire pit set up, drop dead bar area and what the heck even accommodations for both our girls and guys to get ready (like amazing accommodations!!!!) All of these things that made us initially fall in love with Northern Haus became nothing compared to the actual experience we had with Sara and Nick through the year + of planning and day of experience. Upon my first inquiry and probably until the end of time, Sara will be and was so responsive and helpful with any request or question we had. There were so many things I wouldn't have ever even thought of when it came to planning a wedding, but it didn't matter, because they had it ALL covered. We had switches to guest counts, additional drinks added to our package, a scramble until the morning of to decide if we would move the ceremony indoors because of the rain and they handled it all with such grace and professionalism. Our wedding day was an absolute dream, the team there really makes you feel special and calm, like it's your best friends handling your wedding and they want to make sure everything goes perfectly. We could not possibly be happier that we chose Northern Haus as our venue, it along with Sara and Nick are in our hearts forever.

The moment my husband and I toured the Northern Haus, we knew that this was the place we wanted to have our wedding. Sara and Nick are the most wonderful people to work with and are so welcoming. They made planning a wedding easy by having great communication, providing a preferred vendor list, and always reassuring us that our wedding would be great! My partner and I had our first date at Peninsula State Park. When we were looking for a space to host our informal, summer camp-themed reception, we found (and quickly fell in love with) Northern Haus. The modern farmhouse surrounded by fields of wildflowers was the perfect setting for our celebration.

Well, Norther Haus made my little girl fairytale dreams come true! From start to finish, Sara and Nick made every aspect of wedding planning seamless and the least stressful process possible. The beauty of the venue speaks for itself, but the time and effort their team has put into making each couple feel so special and loved sets them apart from the rest.

Their preferred vendor list led us to some of the most talented and outstanding people we have ever had the pleasure of meeting and working with. We can’t forget how perfect of a Day of Coordinator Sara made (such a life savor)! I’m unsure we will ever be able to express how unforgettable of a wedding we had, but we will always remember how perfect it was thanks to Northern Haus.

My, now, husband and I got married at the Northern Haus on September 30, 2021! We literally booked this venue without even touring it because we were beyond impressed with their social media presence and transparency on their website. We were drawn to this venue because it seemed like the perfect combination of everything we could have wanted. An outdoor space with seating and arch provided and the indoor space furnished, open, welcoming, modern and accommodating.

Let me just state that my husband and I live about 3 hours away from this space and as I mentioned - we had never seen it in person. Sara was responsive and organized and we decided to recruit her as our Day of Coordinator. If you go to the venue without taking advantage of this service - you're shorting yourself! We could not have been more blessed to have Sara there as a calming influence guiding the day along and taking things as they came!

Our whole event from the start of planning to the end of the night and beyond has been truly remarkable and unforgettable! The outdoor and indoor spaces are clean and unique to your day with a floor plan you get to customize! We had beautiful wood tables provided to us and a special entrance from their upstairs loft area. Our guests also took FULL advantage of their champagne wall and bar services.

We loved working with Sara and the entire staff and would most certainly recommend them to anyone looking to host their wedding there!

Our wedding at Northern Haus was everything I imagined and more. Sara and Nick were easy to work with, informative, and responsive. Our experience with Northern Haus was absolutely perfect. First off, the venue is jaw-droppingly gorgeous. Pictures can’t quite do it justice; you have to get out and see it! We had so many of our guests tell us throughout the day how beautiful the location was. Between the outdoor ceremony space and the barn, it was an absolute dream venue for us. On top of that, the staff was fantastic! Sara & Nick are such a welcoming couple and make you feel comfortable right away. There was something so magical about having a weekend up in Door County with all of our family and friends and this venue was everything we could have asked for to make that happen. My husband and I had the most perfect wedding day at Northern Haus in Sister Bay. The second we got engaged we emailed Sara for availability and Sara quickly accommodated us for August 2021. Northern Haus provides you with a lengthy vendors list that makes the wedding planning seamless. Sara is very quick to email back throughout the entire process with suggestions and advice while planning. We also added the day of coordination service, which we HIGHLY recommend doing this. Sara took all of the stress and worries off of our plate, and allowed my MOH and mom to enjoy the day with me as well. She took complete control to make sure the day was perfect and vendors were all in place. I can’t imagine anything that could have been better, the venue is so stunning and the forest retreat is even more beautiful than pictures can capture. Thanks to all of the Northern Haus crew for making our wedding day even better than we could have imagined.

Where to begin?! Sara and Nick were incredible hosts and partners in making our special day(s) so special. We had the fortune (in some ways) of having two weddings at Northern Haus. We began with our original date in 10.10.2020 with a small, intimate, safe ceremony where Sara and Nick personally made the day perfect. In 2021, we had our "redo" with our original guest list where Sara was our Day Of Coordinator - which made the day move incredibly smoothly. She was a source of support, help and calm amidst the craziness of our day! Nick was at the bar with the bartending staff and began anticipating our needs throughout the night - which was an incredible, lovely touch. Our guests were floored with the beauty of the venue and had an incredible time - we are so proud of the wedding(s) we ended up having (albeit neither was the original plan) and we couldn't have done it without Northern Haus!

It has been almost a month since our wedding at Northern Haus, and my new husband and I still talk about it daily. Northern Haus went above and beyond to make our day memorable and special.
From the first time I saw photos of Northern Haus I knew that this was the place I wanted to marry Logan. From the beautiful Gambrel Room to the unbelievable Forest Retreat - everything was breathtaking. Sara and Nick were so accommodating (Sara even brought me a little tray of drink options when she knew I was feeling overwhelmed before our first look). I cannot say enough how amazing she, Nick, and their staff were.
We have heard from so many of our guests that this was the best wedding they have been to, and that is all thanks to Northern Haus.
We will remember this day forever, and cannot wait to make it back to Sister Bay to visit.

My husband and I got married at Northern Haus on 10.3.2020 and we seriously had the time of our lives! 2020 threw us a lot of curve balls with the wedding planning process and the owners, Nick & Sara were there with us every step of the way. We were offered an alternate date to postpone to next year but ultimately decided to go ahead with our original wedding date. We had planned to have our ceremony in the Forest Retreat outside, however the rain didn't hold out long enough. At 2pm the day of the wedding we had to pivot last minute to an indoor ceremony and boy it did NOT disappoint! The forest retreat is truly an amazing space and initially we were sad we weren't able to use it but the way our vision came together when it was time to walk down the aisle it couldn't have been better. Garrett and I loved our "getting ready rooms" and the bridal suite is totally amazing. Nick and Sara truly thought of everything. As a bride I especially loved having my own space to touch up makeup and hair, and my own bathroom that the guests didn't know about. The bar is gorgeous and we loved being able to have an indoor/outdoor flow even with the rain we were able to utilize the covered patio. It became a really valued space to our guests especially in light of covid-19. We couldn't have imagined our big day any other way and we truly couldn't have done it without Nick & Sara! They were so flexible the day of the wedding and really just wanted our vision to come to life no matter what, which it did. We are forever grateful and so sad it's over! If you're thinking about getting married here, do it! You won't regret it! Northern Haus is a great addition to a town that is already so special to us. A top notch venue in a top notch location. I'm not even sure where to start, Northern Haus is absolutely amazing. We got married 10/17/20 and it was absolutely perfect. Sara and Nick are awesome and so great to work with. We had plans to get married at the outdoor retreat but the weather didn't corporate so last minute Sara worked her magic and made it happen so smoothly indoors. I wouldn't have changed a thing and am so happy we found this venue for our wedding. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Where to begin? We got married September 18th, 2020 and it by far, was the greatest day of our lives. To say the least, Northern Haus deserves more than a 5 Star review. From the beginning, Nick and Sara put 100% of their time into making our wedding the dream we imagined. Their professionalism and kindness these two show is not like anyone else! Not only did they help coordinate the day of the wedding, but were able to attend as guests! We truly felt like they were part of our wedding party and we wouldn’t have asked for it any other way. They were there to accommodate every guest and made the day worry free! During the planning process, we were hit with the elephant in room, COVID. My wife and Sara poured all their blood, sweat, and literal tears into making COVID non existent, all while following every rule from the state and the CDC. They kept us updated through every change and we were never out of the loop. The event space, totally breathtaking. The incredible details these two put into building this place is amazing. It’s modern, chic, farmhouse, industrial; truly amazing and has the potential to make it what you envision! We went extremely light with decor because it definitely doesn’t need much; it’s gorgeous on its own. The outdoor ceremony space is so romantic and inviting; surrounded with trees and lights, and delicate rock detail at the wooden alter space! They have worked extremely hard on their preferred vendor list and based on every vendor used from this list, they have nobody but the best! We had multiple big changes in planning the wedding and Nick and Sara were so incredibly accommodating with every change. We enjoyed ourselves so much that day, we extended our hours the day of the event and they were more than accommodating with this change! We were so lucky to have the extended time to dance, laugh, and spend time with family and friends! For anyone that is considering Northern Haus, look no further and book them ASAP. You will NEVER regret your decision! You may end up with wedding blues (like my wife) due to the day being so perfect, thanks to these two! You’ll want to redo your day over and over! Where to begin. 2020 foiled out original plans, but Sara and Nick at Northern Haus were so incredible in helping us ensure we had amazing options to choose from. They were generous enough to host us for an intimate ceremony on our original date, and let us secure a new date in 2021 for the big blow-out. The venue was gorgeous, Sara and Nick beyond helpful - especially when we had forgotten our rings inside - when Sara literally ran back to get them for us - mask and all! We had my daughter’s wedding at Northern Haus last month. Words can not express the happiness of that day and how beautiful everything was. Sara and Nick did an outstanding job. The level of professionalism and kindness of these two are beyond exceptional. From the moment we arrived in the morning until we left at the end of the night, Sara and Nick made not only the Bride and Groom, but all of us feel welcome and comfortable. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect! Their venue puts you in complete awe the moment you walk in. It is absolutely stunning! We had made the decision to move the ceremony inside due to rain. It was such an easy transition. Potential rain on a wedding day is always a worry on a Bride’s mind. I was so happy to see my daughter not even worry about the weather for her day because Northern Haus offers both indoor and outdoor event space. We could not have made a better choice! I didn’t want the night to end!

My wife and I got married here on the 12th. Everything about the venue is incredible. The atmosphere was exactly what we imagined, and Sara and Nick do everything to possibly can to be accommodating and make it an amazing day!

She is warm, patient and organized which made coordinating our re-planned wedding in under 6 weeks a breeze. Every time we visited the venue it was pristine and beautifully kept.
